Triangle Addition - Term 3 Week 1

This here is Triangle Addition. We had to add up numbers that equaled up to 12.456. We had to fill in the little gaps with numbers and see the final product will look like. I Hope You Enjoy! 

Thinkboard Fractions Master

Today, we had to complete a ThinkBoard. We had to show what strategy we used, show a diagram, come up with 10 other questions and write down a word problem. On this, I worked with my friend Ana. 

Maths - ThinkBoard!

This is our ThinkBoard that my friends Nikki, Mary and I have created during our maths session. We had to Solve the problem with a strategy, write down a word problem, 10 similar questions and draw a diagram. I think it was pretty easy to solve.

To figure this out, we did, 12 x what = 156. That = 13. Then we x the 

Numerator by 13 and we got 91. That is the answer! To be honest, I through it was going to be pretty hard but, in the end, it wasn't.

Fraction: 8/20 or 4/10

Decimal: 0.4

Percentage: 8% of the class are boys

A pink paint is made using 6 parts white paint and 2 parts red paint. What percentage of the paint is white?

Ratio: 6:2

Fraction: 6/8   

Decimal: 0.6

Percentage: 6.2%

A prize barrell has 24 blue numbers and 26 red numbers left. What percentage of the numbers left are blue?

Ratio: 24:26  

Fraction: 24/50

Decimal: 0.48

Percentage: 2%

A teacher has marked 4 reading books and has 1 more book to mark. What percentage of the book has he marked?

Ratio: 4:1

Fraction: ⅘

Decimal: 0.8

Percentage: 3%

My cat has slept for 9 hours and been awake 3 hours. What percentage of the last 12 hours has he slept for?

Ratio: 9:3

Fraction: 9/12

Decimal: 0.24

Percentage: 6%

Kylie adds 2 parts of juice for every 4 parts of lemonade. What percentage of her drink is made from juice?  

Ratio: 2:4

Fraction: 2/6

Decimal: 0.333

Percentage: 2%

A pack of biscuits has 7 white chocolate biscuits for every 3 dark chocolate biscuits. What percentage of the pack are white chocolate biscuits?

Ratio: 7:3

Fraction: 7/10

Decimal: 0.10

Percentage: 5%

A group of friends are going on a flight. 1 of them have flown before, the other 3 have not. What percentage of the friends have flown before?

Ratio: 1:3

Fraction: ¼

Decimal: 0.4

Percentage: 4%
