Pourquoi Tale - Why a Giraffe is yellow

Why a Giraffe is yellow:

One night, Mr Giraffe was attending a party. The theme was bright and loud and Mr Giraffe didn’t know what to wear. He was thinking and thinking for a long period of time of what he was going to do.

Mr Giraffe was rummaging through his closet and found this bright yellow costume. “This is PERFECT” Mr Giraffe said with excitement. He was looking forward to wearing it.

They party was just a few hours away and Mr Giraffe was ready to get his boogie on. He arrived at the party and everyone was just admiring Mr Giraffe because of his outfit. People were loving the way he dressed and was just liking the colour.

Mr Giraffe was just having the time of his life. Everyone was dancing. Soon, the party ended and Mr Giraffe head home. When he arrived he just flopped in his bed and fell straight to sleep.

When Mr Giraffe woke up he was still in his bright yellow costume. He was thinking about the party and remembered that people were loving his costume. Soooo… Mr Giraffe decided to stay with it and just enjoy his new look.

A Mansion Sells for a $1 - Article

In the 1860’s, Samuel Ouerbacker built this historic mansion in Louisville, Kentucky. This mansion just sold for $1. For the reason that, the mansion was falling apart. The auctioneer hoped that someone was willing to put the time and money into redesigning and restoring the mansion.

Later, the mansion went up for auction again and was bought by an architect. But, his plan to restore the mansion and turn it into its old glory, he left the mansion in the worst conditions.

The auction started up again and was bought by a design company named ‘Oracle Design’. They are planning to restore the property, section of the mansion and start to build apartments.

There haven’t been any official plans yet. But, there will be soon!

The most important quote that we thought was: “Don’t believe me just watch”

Writing:

Yesterday, 3 very important people came to our year 7 and 8 block and talked to us about what they do for a living. The 3 people were Marcus Winter, Louie Gordon Latty and Andrew Patterson. They came and told us some very important things that we might want to know. Here is what we got up to.

First up to present was, Andrew Patterson. He is a person that collects people from the streets and makes them become what they want to be, basically. He was also introducing us to Marcus and Louie and telling us what they are going to be saying in front of all of us, students.

Presenting next was, Marcus Winter A.K.A (The Sand Man). That is Marcus’s nickname because he likes to create art by using sand and some creative tools. Marcus was talking to us about not everyone in the world is perfect. He was telling us a lot of quotes and just telling us to always follow what you believe in.

Marcus also got us all up on our feet and we all did a little dance to the song ‘Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars. He was telling us that one line in the song is very important which is ‘Don’t believe just watch’. People think that they don’t believe them but ‘Don’t believe just watch’ is the prefect quote to sum it all up.

Louie Gordon Latty is a basketball player and is also a Glory League person. Louie is a very inspiring person. Everyone that was in the crowd was getting very excited when we started watching some of his basketball games.

Louie and some of the people part of the Glory League industries designed something that is easy to record any sports games like netball, basketball, rugby and much more. They invented ipad apps that when they press a button it records the whole game and you can watch yourself playing. How cool is that?

Louie was also asking us a lot questions while we were sitting down. Like, What do you want to be when you grow up?,How many of you have had bad days? and much more. We were sending him answers and he was just telling us some very positive words like ‘Just aim for your goals’ and ‘Set high standards in anything you are doing’ and much more.

I will just like to thank all of the people that also came to our school and took time out of their day to talk to us about what they do for a living. Just… Thank You!!!

Technology in World War 1

This is a presentation that I have created during my Literacy time. We were learning about technology in the war. We had to answer questions that my teacher had provided in this presentation. We also had to read the following readings and find out the answers.

Our dead line time was Friday and I finished it on Tuesday. (Wohoo)! In this presentation you mightfind out some new information that you haven't heard of before. I Hope You Enjoy!

Summary of - Technology in WW1

Image result for images of technology
Technology in the world war is a good thing, I think. Using all of the advancements might of been good for the soldiers and people in the war. it is really good, I think. Using it will be very helpful for the soldiers as well.

The people that help were the main people behind of the war. It worked for the soldiers and the people in the war. The people that had the guns were the people of U.S.A.

Technology in the war was used to help the soldiers protect themselves against the other countries and to help them win the war as well. They also used it to help there fighting much easier.
