Pirate Narrative

Ahoy mates my name is Captain fireball. I live on a boat with my two friends named Snuffy and Cruffy. On my boat I have nets to catch bad people and cannons to load off in battles. My name is captain fireball because I tell people to load off the cannons every single day.


I am a really bossy pirate because I boss people around like, "Hey you, set up the nets and hey you load up the cannons." If you see me from far it would look like I have a squid on my head, but up close I have eyes, a nose and a mouth and black hair, so I don’t look that disgusting like a normal pirate.


One time me and my friends Snuffy and Cruffy went to Little Rocks lake. It is called Little Rocks lake because everywhere in the lake are little rocks. We were swimming and swimming, then it was night so me and my friends decided to go back to our boat. On our way back to the boat we noticed that the boat door was open, so we quickly ran back to our boat and saw our treasure was missing. "Our treasure is gone!" Snuffy screamed.


So me, Snuffy and Cruffy searched and searched for our treasure. We were digging and digging in the sand and we found this note that said, 'Attention, all pirates there is going to be a wind storm, so keep your treasure safe". But later that day we found a little bit of our treasure so we were pleased. So in the end were new to keep our treasure really safe.

Omaru Creek

This movie is just me with my map of Omaru creek and my voice over. I hope you enjoy:)

Model Making.

One afternoon last week my literacy group had to draw a map of Omaru Creek while looking at a photo taken from a satellite Dish. Here are the steps that we took.

First we had to create 3D shapes to stand up on our map out of coloured paper. I created a bridge, some trees, ducks, air vents, the creek rubbish catcher, culvet and the pipe that goes under the road.

At first it was really hard to create a bridge and a tree. For the tree it was hard because I didn’t know how to make it stand up. For the bridge it was hard for making it stand up so the water could flow under it. When I created the rubbish catcher it was not too bad to make because by that time I had become a very good model maker.

When I finished creating all of my 3D shapes it was time to paint. When I started painting my maths teacher Miss Garden said my painting was great. After I finished painting I had to let it dry before I did something else to it.

3 Teachers in my class.

3 Teachers

3 teachers in the classroom is funny because a normal class has only 1 teacher in one class. But this year is a bit different. In rooms 17, 18 and 16 all of them are all bunched up together.

When we do subjects like math and reading all classes have different teachers so we don’t get our home teacher sometimes. My home teacher Mr. Somerville is my reading teacher and Mrs. Garden is my math teacher.

My Family Having a first 2013 BBQ.

On Wednesday 2nd of January my mum, dad, baby brother and I decided that we will clean up our old BBQ and have a BBQ. So my mum and dad grabbed a bucket  of water and soap and a rag. Then my dad and mum were outside with my baby brother and they we scrubbing away like mad.

When the BBQ was all clean my dad said to my mum "Should we have a BBQ. I will go down to the shops to get some patties and lamb chops. So my dad hopped in the car and drove to the shop to get some meat.

While my dad was out shopping my, brother and I decided that we wanted  to have a swim in our new pool we got from our mum and dad. My brother and I quickly got our togs and hopped in the pool.

When my dad got back home with the meat he quickly put it on the BBQ. He fried the lamb chops and then the patties. Then when I went outside I said to my dad "Can I help?" and then I went to go and get another pair of tongs.

When my mum finished making the potato salad and my dad and I finished cooking the meat, it was time to eat.
