Writing an argument (should children exercise every day?)

Now you need to structure your argument:

1) Children should exercise everyday because it is good for their health. It is good for children to be healthy by exercising as often as possible.
2) A reason why you need to exercise and to be fit, is if you are in a sports team you will be ready to compete for the school or team. Children who are fit won’t get tired as easily. Being part of a sports team is a great way to get fit and have fun at the same time. You also get to develop your skills in that sport.

3)  I believe that you can get fit by doing exercising skills. For example running up and down stairs, riding a bike up a mountain, skipping, squats, lunges etc. These exercising skills will help you get fit and healthy.

4) If there is an event coming up and you are fit you will do good, but if you are unfit you might run out of breath and be tired. It is good to be fit because it does really help whenever you play sports or just doing anything that requires running, squats etc.

5) The differences between a fit person and an unfit person is really clear. A fit person can run 2 laps around a field but, an unfit person will run but will get tired faster than the fit person.

6) I agree that children do need to exercise because as I said, it is good for their health. Exercising is not only just good for your health exercising is good for your lungs, heart, muscles, kidneys etc. This concludes the end of my argument for today.

What I did Sunday, August 3 2014.

Today is Sunday and the sun is about to go down. So I decided to write a post about what I did today.

First, I woke up and had a shower and cleaned myself. Next I got dressed and had to find something to wear. When I was dressed me, dad and little brother went to the market at the Net - Ball courts. We bought some kebabs and some crispy hot chips. After we finished at the Market we came home and relaxed.

In a couple of minutes my dad went to Pak n Save to buy something for dinner. When we came home he had a surprise. "Lets make a cake" said dad. So I got the ingredients and we mixed them in the bowl, if you want to know the ingredients they are:

4 Eggs
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
8 table spoons of milk
3 lines of butter.

While the cake was in the oven, me and my dad started to cook dinner. We were having homemade fried chicken. First I had to put flour and chicken coating in a bag and place the chicken inside and shake it. SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE, the bag so the chicken would be covered. I just repeated the method over and over again and then cooked it. It was YUMMMMY.

To end the day my dad, brother and myself went to the pools for a swim. We swam for 1 hour and then came home. Now we are just relaxing again and I am writing this post.

BBYYEE!!!

World War I - WWI

Today was the day that New Zealand people died for our country. Today we had assembly to show respect to the people who fought in World War I. When you respect World War I you raise the New Zealand flag half mast. When you raise the flag it has to be just under the top of the pole. It shows that we are remembering the people that represented our country in World War I.

At assembly Mr Burt (Our Principal) said his grandad and Mrs Flavelles grandad were in World War 1. Mr Burt said that his grandad was getting married and said that the clothes that he wore back from the war were the clothes that he got married in. Yes, he did make it back alive, same as Mrs Flavelles grandad.

World War I took place in Europe, but involved lots of countries. Over 20 countries were in World War I. 28 July 1914 was when World War I started, and it lasted till 11 November 1918.

When the first bomb went off the War began. Grass was turning into mud. Bombs and bullets were being fired. People had to walk on duckboard wood planks in Gallipoli to stay out of the mud because there was so much.

I am so thankful for the people that fought for New Zealand in World War I. They sacrificed their lives for us new zealanders, and that is a huge thing to do.

Research about a Commonwealth Country.

Malaysia is one of 71 countries that are in the Commonwealth games. Malaysia is in Europe next to Africa. Malaysia joined the commonwealth games in 1957 and haven’t missed any commonwealth games. In the capital city, (Kuala Lumpur) there are 28.8 million people but in Malaysia there are 4.427 billion people. In 2012 there were only 29.24 million, and now there is alot. What a change.

In Malaysia, people talk english but some people talk their country language. Some malaysian people can speak Thai really well. They can speak Malay and Chinese as well.

In the commonwealth games the famous sport for Malaysia is badminton, swimming and shooting. Through out the years Malaysia has won 47 gold medals, 57 silvers medals and 67 bronze medals. In total they have won 171 medals.

The Malaysian flag has lots of colours on it. It looks like this. Screenshot 2014-07-28 at 10.03.33.png
There is red and white stripes on
the flag. In the top left corner
there is a blue rectangle shape
with a sun on the right and crescent shape on the left.

Malaysia has attended 12 games throughout the years commonwealth games have been played. The most gold medals that malaysia have won are 12 and that was in 2010. In 1998 malaysia won 10 gold medals and that was the second most they have won.
