Polyfest 2015!

And we meet John Key.

On Thursday the 19th of March marked the day that the year 7 and 8 students at Pt England School were going to polyfest. We were going to Manukau Sports Bowl by bus to watch the fantastic performance’s and see all of the amazing stalls.
When we arrived, everyone had to wait patiently for everyone to come assemble at the. tree We were sitting under a tree and just chillaxing. Finally, everyone arrived and it was time to enter the gates.

“ Please open your bags” said the security guard. We had to unzip our bags for the guard to see what’s inside. He tapped the bottom of the bag and looked on the top.The same went for everyone.

Everyone from our school was inside and we were all filled with excitement. First, we had to sit down and the instructor was taking us thought of what was going to happen throughout the day. We were going to be doing different rotations and seeing what was going on.

It became silent for a second and everyone was off to do all of the activities. There were heaps of performances and everyone was getting a bunch of free things. Different stalls were selling different things. Some stalls were selling food, clothes, balloons and much more.

We were going through our different rotations and got breaks in between. There was bo making, stress making stations, food stalls, fireman things, photo booths etc. Around polyfest, their was different stages spread amongst the place.

My favourite thing at polyfest was seeing everybody was having fun and just hanging out with there friends. And, seeing all of the performances. Maori performances and samoan performances are my favourite.

At the end of all of the rotations and seeing everything, we all received a goodie bag filled with a lot of things. We got a polyfest bag, a ASB cap, a ASB water bottle, a ASB hand fan, bands, glasses etc.

Sadly, it was time to head back to school and go home. I think, that was my favourite day at school for 2015. The day was really fun and we all had a fantastic time with our friends and teachers.
